March Madness

It's hard not to start off with the most prevalent news right now, however, I'd like to circle back round to that.

March saw us talk to a range of guests:

Lynsey Elliot / Ollie Lockley & Erika Kelly / Adam Hudgeon / Sam Murphy

(you can tell I needed my hair cut by Adam's episode!)

Every podcast we do, I always seem to learn something new; a different approach to a situation, an insight into how people think or being educated on a completely new topic!

I think one thing I am really happy with, from a podcasting perspective, is that we seem to have (finally) nailed down our sound quality.

We are both learning as we are going and constantly tweaking things. Sounds is ultimately the most important thing so we have been keen to ensure this is as good as we can get... although I'm sure there is always room for improvement.

Ollie & Erika gave us a good test as it was the first joint pod - so had to make sure we could get the 4 mics all sorted. Seemed to record without any hitches!

That said, there's always things to keep developing and nothing stays stagnant at The M Word - we are always working behind the scenes to bring the next thing out to improve your experience - if you've got anything you would like to see/hear, then please give us a shout! Always good to hear feedback from listeners. Good or bad :)

With (at the time of writing) everyone now in lockdown, we really wanted to talk to Rich Sille about the psychology behind it all and tips on how to stay mentally, socially and physically active - which we strongly recommend you have a listen to.

Mental well-being is something that we both take very seriously and, from this podcast, have come to learn just how much it plays a part in our day to day lives - I've certainly been opened up to a complete new world since we started.

Luckily, we had a free weekend where we managed to get a few more done before the isolation guidelines, so the next couple out will be the usual format.

Looking into the future, it seems that we'll have to use audio calls for our next guests... Sorry Martin, no bakes from Kay for a while!

As usual, if you would like to be a guest, please get in contact with us and we can arrange a chat.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. The aim is to try and do a monthly one. If there's anything you'd like my thoughts on, let me know and I'll add into the next blog update.

Stay well and keep safe,

Matt - The M Word
